Reggio Children is an international centre for the defence and promotion of children’s rights and potentials, was founded on 11 March 1994 with the aim of giving value and strength to the work of Reggio Emilia's municipal infant-toddler centres and preschools, a pedagogical approach known around the world as the Reggio Emilia Approach®.

The future of the planet and the defence of the environment are among the issues of true global emergency and among the most "heartfelt" by children and young people.
Children relate with innate empathy to the natural world, they question themselves on what can be considered "living" and on what are the elements that unite and distinguish all living beings.
From these questions of the children and from their desire to know the natural world the project "Imagine a forest" was born, whose protagonists are children, trees, the language of graphics.
Trees representing the vast world of living subjects that inhabit the Earth together with us. Trees, which children and humanity must learn to respect, love, perceive as plant brothers, recognizing them as fundamental for the survival of the planet.

Immagina un bosco
“Gli alberi regalano alla terra la vita e la bellezza.” (Laura, 5 anni)

Il futuro del pianeta e la difesa dell’ambiente sono tra i temi di vera emergenza mondiale e tra i più “sentiti” da bambini e ragazzi.
I bambini si relazionano con innata empatia con il mondo naturale, si interrogano su ciò che può essere considerato “vivente” e su quali sono gli elementi che accomunano e contraddistinguono tutti gli esseri viventi.
Da queste domande dei bambini e dal loro desiderio di conoscenza del mondo naturale è nato il progetto “Immagina un bosco”,
i cui protagonisti sono i bambini, gli alberi, il linguaggio della grafica.
Gli alberi in rappresentanza del vasto mondo dei soggetti viventi che abitano, insieme a noi, la Terra. Alberi, che i bambini e l’umanità devono imparare a rispettare, amare, percepire come fratelli vegetali, riconoscendoli come fondamentali per la sopravvivenza del pianeta.
