PIGS IN A CANOE and other watery stories
Historical anecdotes, fascinating facts, interactive songs, sayings and axioms celebrate humankind’s intricate relationship with water. Told with a variety of puppets this family show will inspire both thinking and laughing!
- Pigs in a Canoe is the historic story of transporting six pigs down the Red River to Winnipeg in 1817. Robert Bruce, a pig himself, tells the tale of the difficult journey.
- Big Fish Little Fish - inter-active cautionary song (for fish) about being lured onto a hook.
- Water Droplet – comedic puppet water droplet cycles through water phases.
- The Deep – the wonder and wackiness of the creatures of the deep are described with poetry, shadows and entrancing paper sculpture puppets.
- The Greedy Frog – originally an Australian folktale, about a frog who swallowed all the water in the world, but it’s given a modern overtone with found object puppets.
- Holding up the Sky: a small story reminds us of the power of a single person.
