 WP Puppet Theatre is currently working to produce a new and innovative work, Finding My Song: By Bird.. Going beyond a traditional puppet theatre production, Finding My Song: By Bird is a visually rich show which integrates a number of artistic disciplines including: two live actors/puppeteers; a variety of paper-based puppets; rear projected film imagery featuring collage, photography and animation; original and existing music; movement and; mask technique.
Finding My Song: By Bird is a thought-provoking tale about discovering ones identity and ultimately finding happiness through a journey of self-discovery. Through the exploration of relationships, communication and self-expression, Finding My Song: By Bird follows four characters whose lives serendipitously cross paths, culminating with each character finding resolution in their search.
Designed for family audiences, once completed, WPTS plans to tour it to provincial, national and international puppetry organizations, family theatre presenters and Children's Festivals.
