Calgary Puppet Club Meet and Greet
Thursday, January 24th, 7:00 to 9:30
Location: HMCS Tecumseh, 1820 - 24th Street SW, Calgary AB
On Thursday, January 24th, come to a Meet and Greet hosted by The Calgary Puppet Club, a group dedicated to helping adults who are interested in puppetry explore the art form and improve their skills. There will be snacks, and time permitting we will watch a few short puppet videos, do some show and tell, and play some games. We will be talking about the upcoming year and will want to know what you would like to learn and how the club can benefit you! Currently, we are planning building workshops, performance practice, and film nights.

 A Dracula Bunny
Wendy had a great time in October creating Bunnicula for Centre Stage Theatre Company’s production of the same name. Sadly the bunny wasn’t used – but here he is at least presented for posterity in the E-post.
 Harry Potter’s Owls
In November Wendy moved onto hatching
three owls for Alberta Dance Theatre’s production.

‘Professor’ Wendy has fun with students for the fall session - University of Calgary, as we explored paper, hand, shadow and other kinds of puppetry. The students produced some fantastic work.
Puppets in Jamaica
(Passing along a question) Hi, my name is Dwayne and I am from Red Deer. I want to know if you or anyone you know do ministry outside of Canada. I am looking for Puppet Shows and people to do ministry in Jamaica during the summer months with a Daily Vacation Bible School program. I take a team of youth down each summer and the kids in Jamaica love puppets...just curious...
